Our natural gas clientele includes some of the industry’s giants. Southwest Gas Corporation takes the lead as our largest client, operating in the states of Arizona, Nevada, and California. Right behind them is Dominion Energy, with operations spanning Utah, parts of Idaho, and Wyoming. These clients entrust us with their critical projects, and we’re proud to be a part of their success.
Natural Gas Services
Sunrise Engineering offers a comprehensive suite of services in pipeline engineering, covering both distribution and transmission. From operator qualifications and training to GIS mapping and posting, construction observation, quality control checks, and transmission pipeline patrolling, we bring a wealth of expertise to the table, ensuring the seamless flow of natural gas.
Notable Projects and Recent Initiatives
In May of this year, we were honored to be awarded a significant contract for construction inspection, adding approximately 43 dedicated professionals to our team. This project exemplifies our commitment to growth and excellence in serving our clients.
Additionally, our track record includes a major propane system project for Magnum, which involved tanks and piping. This project demonstrates our versatility and capability to tackle diverse challenges within the natural gas industry.
Technologies for As-Built Documentation and Mapping
In the digital age, precise documentation is key. Our field experts use highly accurate GPS equipment to capture essential pipeline features. This data is then integrated into our clients’ maps, ensuring up-to-date and accurate records.

Our dedicated inspectors meticulously monitor construction and safety standards during pipeline projects. Any deviations from compliance are promptly identified and communicated to the client and contractors for swift resolution.
Assisting Clients

We assist our clients in developing procedure manuals, operation, and maintenance manuals, as well as emergency response plans to ensure their operations meet stringent safety and regulatory requirements enforced by the DOT Office of Pipeline Safety. Sunrise Engineering also offers gas system modeling services using the state-of-the-art GasWorks software. This aids clients in planning, optimizing, and executing successful system start-ups.
