We’re thrilled to share some exciting news with you – our Wyoming family has expanded. We’re delighted to introduce our new Kemmerer office, officially open since January 2, 2024. This marks a crucial step in our journey as we seek to broaden our horizons and tap into new opportunities in the vibrant Kemmerer community.
Our Kemmerer office is currently a one-woman powerhouse led by Kamilla Schultz, a Professional Engineer with an impressive 14 years of experience. Kamilla is not just a seller but also a doer, handling everything from identifying new opportunities to managing projects and providing top-notch engineering work. Her role is crucial in connecting the Kemmerer office with our Star Valley Service Center, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficiency.
Kemmerer is considered a remote or satellite office to our Star Valley Service Center. This strategic placement allows us to stay connected with key clients and projects in the Kemmerer and Sweetwater County areas. It positions us closer to the pulse of the community, enabling us to better serve the evolving needs of our clients.
The decision to open the Kemmerer office was driven by the vast potential for commercial growth in the area, sparked by the proposed Natrium power plant – Wyoming’s first nuclear reactor. We foresee numerous civil engineering opportunities arising from this development, including infrastructure projects, housing initiatives, and community services. Proximity to key clients and ongoing projects in Kemmerer and Sweetwater County further solidifies the importance of this strategic move.
While currently a one-person operation, our vision for the Kemmerer office includes expanding to accommodate a team of professionals within the next few years. We are eager to contribute to the growth and prosperity of the Kemmerer community and its surrounding areas.
Our Kemmerer office has already established key partnerships with the cities of Kemmerer and Diamondville, the Kemmerer-Diamondville Water and Wastewater Joint Powers Board, and Lincoln County. Offering a full range of civil engineering services, we are equipped to handle utility design, site planning, water/wastewater design, permitting services, and construction administration to support the anticipated commercial growth.
The office culture in our Wyoming locations, including Star Valley and Kemmerer, is characterized by a resilient “can do” attitude. As jacks-of-all-trades in the civil engineering world, our team thrives in the rural setting, covering a diverse range of services to meet our clients’ unique needs.
Technology plays a crucial role in our day-to-day operations, especially considering the remote nature of the Kemmerer office. Virtual meetings and efficient file storage and sharing are integral to ensuring seamless communication and collaboration within our dynamic team.
Our Kemmerer office isn’t just about projects and clients – it’s about being a part of a close-knit community. We’re grateful for the warm welcome from Kemmerer residents and excited about the positive impact our services will have on the local economy and community development.
In closing, the Kemmerer office represents a new chapter for Sunrise Engineering, a chapter filled with growth, collaboration, and community engagement. We look forward to the exciting projects that lie ahead and the meaningful contributions we can make to the Kemmerer community. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to build a brighter future together!
