The Kerns RiverGas Transmission Company has a gas compression facility in Veyo, Utah, which produces wasted heat. This project generates that wasted heat into 7.8 megawatts of electrical power. The system includes an Ormat Energy Converter, a waste heat oil heater, and a thermal oil circulation system.

Provided technical support to observe and verify the construction and implementation of the project per the various contracts including the generation plant, step up interconnection substation, and host agreement with Kern River to supply the waste heat.

Coordinated utility interconnection with Rocky Mountain Power, which included clarification of metering and protection schemes between all parties and onsite support for testing and commissioning of transfer trip functions and status monitoring of key breakers and relays.
