  • Client Town of Springdale

  • Location Springdale, Utah

  • Services Water Treatment Planning and Design, Civil and Site Design, Treatment Process and Equipment Design, Construction Engineering, Funding and Regulatory Coordination, Plant Startup and Operator Training

Project Highlights

  • Designed a conventional package water treatment plant with a capacity of 810 gallons per minute, helping Springdale address its culinary water treatment needs.

  • Incorporated pretreatment settling, filters and adsorption clarifiers, granular activated carbon (GAC) filter vessels, and chlorination into the treatment process.

  • Designed supporting infrastructure including an approximately 5,000-square-foot building, piping, pump facilities, vaults, drainage, roadway reconstruction, parking, access, and office facilities.

  • Developed the plant within a constrained site while accounting for limited available land, challenging elevations, adjacent drainage, existing infrastructure, and other community considerations.

  • Planned construction to keep the existing water treatment plant operational, maintaining water service while the replacement facility was built.

  • Supported the project from design and equipment selection through regulatory coordination, construction engineering, plant startup, staff training, record drawings, and closeout documentation.
