Steve is a principal of the firm with over 20 years of experience in the design of municipal water structures. He specializes in the design, project management, and construction of concrete water tanks for Sunrise Engineering and has been involved in tank projects since 2006. Steve has served as the lead member of the tank design team since 2012, focusing primarily on regions with the potential for large earthquakes. He is highly skilled in seismic design and detailing of concrete structures and has passed the Seismic Principles Test in California. Steve's extensive qualifications include involvement in storage projects totaling over 160 million gallons, serving as the stamping Engineer of Record for over 50 buried concrete tanks, and acting as the structural Engineer of Record for several pre-stressed concrete tanks. Additionally, he is an active member of the ACI 350 Committee on Environmental Structures, the ACI 350 subcommittee G on Tank Tightness Testing, and a contributing participant in ACI 350.3 on the Seismic Design of Liquid Containing Structures. Steve also serves on the AWWA D115 Tendon Pre-stressed Water Tanks Standard Committee.
