Project Highlights

  • Obtained a planning grant to perform a culinary water master plan.

  • Evaluated the existing culinary water system and planned for future needs over the next 40 years.

  • Evaluation included water rights, water sources, storage tanks, distribution system, and water treatment components of the water system

  • Produced master plan, which included updating and calibrating the existing hydraulic model for existing and future projected flows, identified improvements required to meet state design requirements for the projected growth conditions, and estimated costs for such improvements.

  • Recommended improvements including distribution system upgrades, a 500,000-gallon tank, and two booster stations.

  • Recommended rate increases to pay for improvements and implemented an impact fee for improvements related to growth.
